With the release of her third solo album Taken by Surprise singer/songwriter Kate Weekes maps the musical spot where landscapes and emotions converge via accessible jazzy folk/pop inspired by the planet’s northernmost locales. Weekes has created a dazzling sonic scrapbook of experiences buoyed by her inimitable performance style. Kate will be joined on stage by multi-instrumentalist James Stephens and Martin Newman on upright bass.
