No doubt this is a difficult and very different winter for everyone. Fortunately, outdoor activities such as skating, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, fat biking and tubing are healthy activities that we can still do, as long as we do it safely.
In our region (OUTAOUAIS) there is currently a curfew in effect between 9:30 pm and 5 am. Travel between regions is not recommended.
RECREATION AND SPORTS DURING RED ZONE IN QUEBEC
Informal outdoor recreational and sports activities (e.g. walking, cross-country skiing, skating) are permitted, provided the guidelines issued by the public health authorities are respected.
👉 From February 8, outdoor activities limited to a group of 4 people are permitted, including for lessons. People living at the same address may form a group of more than 4 people, but cannot join a group of people living at another address. Indoor activities are prohibited

DOWNHILL SKIING
Downhill ski resorts will remain open however those offering night-skiing must cease activities at 7:30 p.m. in order to respect the curfew.

❄️ Gatineau Park – NCC parks and lands remain accessible to the public, provided that people follow public health directives. The NCC suggest that residents access those NCC assets closest to their home, within their province of residence.

SKATING
❄️ Local rinks – It’s best to choose the rink that’s closest to your home and make sure to comply with all health guidelines including social distancing, mask wearing and hand hygiene.

❄️ Walking - This one you can do just about anywhere, just make sure you practice social distancing and walk only with those already in your bubble until February 7 and as of February 8, in groups of no more than 4 people.
